Hello! I’m A.J. Zapp, and I am passionate about helping people find the perfect home for their needs, especially those who serve or have served our country in the military. I am married to a dedicated and compassionate woman, who works in the ER as an Emergency Room Nurse and at a birth center as a Certified Nurse Midwife. We have two daughters; Zoey is 10 and Keira is 7. Our family has two dogs, one is a fourteen-year-old Miniature Pinscher who enjoys his twilight years barking at everything that moves, even shadows and family members, and the other is a three-year-old German Shepherd mutt whose singular desire is for someone to throw a ball for him. My hobbies include reading, though I spend more time now listening to audio books, playing pool and poker.

Professionally, most of that time was in telecommunications working for Cricket Wireless and AT&T: I managed teams across multiple industries for twenty years. As a leader, I especially enjoyed seeing incremental improvement in my team’s performance and abilities; I also genuinely loved seeing how my team and I could change a simple interaction into an opportunity where we could delight a customer and make a positive impact on their lives. Utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, I excelled in many customer facing roles and can put the client first and do what is necessary to exceed their expectations.

I earned my license as a real estate broker on August 28, 2023, and since then, I have added two designations to my license, American Warrior Real Estate Professional (AWREP) and Military Real Estate Professional (MRP), both will help me better serve men and women in the military and their families. When I first was planning on becoming a realtor, I didn’t have a clear focus or goal other than wanting to help the community with their real estate needs. My second week licensed, however, I was able to attend a training with the American Warrior Initiative, and it showed me how underserved this group really is in real estate. I decided then that while I will happily assist anyone looking for help with buying and selling real estate, I will devote time, focus and energy to gaining resources to better help the folks in the military and their families.
